Baklava Pistachio

Baklava with pistachios is a traditional variation of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern pastry. Pistachios are used as a filling for Baklava. It has slightly sweet and nutty flavor.

The pistachios are chopped and mixed with sugar and spices such as cinnamon or cardamom, before being layered between the phyllo sheets.

The pastry is then sweetened with honey syrup, and flavored with rose water.
